My son went to high school with this kid (my son was a sr when he was a freshman) and this kids death took everyone by storm. This is just a great thing Springsteen did.

yep - I was there and it was a great moment in the concert. I remember the story about how Ward died, but did not put two and two together when Bruce said the song was in memory of both him and Terry.

Bruce actually did the backup vocals on the studio version of the song.

He did an encore for Bruce in Austin a few years ago on The Rising tour, same song. It rocked.

That marks the 3rd time Joe's joined Bruce on stage to perform All Just To Get To You while in Texas. The past 2 times Bruce has played the FEC (the reunion tour in '99/'00, the Rising tour in '03) Joe's joined 'em. And Joe knocked it out of the park both times.

Also glad to see that Alejandro Escovedo joined Bruce & the guys in Houston the other night. Talk about a double treat.
