I'm probably way late to the party, but recently I have watched the sci-fi/vampire miniseries Ultraviolet on DVD, Torchwood: Children of Earth on DirecTV's BBC-America channel, and the missus and I are about halfway through the mini-series State of Play (with Bill Nighy) on DVD. Nobody does drama/melodrama quite like the Brits. A friend recommended 1985's Edge of Darkness which, on Amazon, gets 24 5-star ratings out of 25 reviews. Can you HFs recommend any others?
