Guess they didn't get the memo that Brit would be wearing Lauren's #. Great gesture,by the way.

Maybe it's my triskaidekaphobia, but I don't think the team has played very well with the 13 on Brittany's back. Maybe a reconsider before the NCAA?

the team doesn't play well vs aggie. the number sported by Brit doesn't matter. Wish it did. That would be an easy fix.

Is she going to wear #13 the rest of the year, like J'Covan Brown and Gary Johnson did for Varez Ward and Dogus Balbay when the latter two went out with season-ending injuries?

Be awesome if she did and this became a tradition for Texas basketball - hopefully a tradition we would not have to invoke often!

My understanding was that it was a change/tribute made due to the fact that Lauren could not fly to Kansas City and thus could not even be PRESENT for the Big12 tourney. Given that the same problem with getting to the bench, even in sweats, does not exist in the Erwin Center, I would be real surprised if Brit was still wearing #13 on Sunday...

i thought i remembered reading something about jersey change...finally tracked it down on the UT website. it's from the A&M game preview.

NUMBER CHANGE FOR RAVEN
Senior guard Brittainey Raven will wear the No. 13 jersey during the postseason to pay tribute to injured teammate Lauren Flores. Raven made the switch from No. 10 to No. 13 prior to the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship first round game against Missouri (March 11).

so it might be for the entire postseason. either way, i think it's an awesome gesture by the senior!
