Brisket Time question

I was thinking about smoking a brisket for Sunday around noon, but my day on saturday is kind of problematic. Heres what I was thinking of doing, let me know what you think-

- Saturday Morning (around 6 -7am) start smoking the brisket (10-12#) until around 1 or 2.
- I will have to leave around 2pm until around 10pm-midnight. So I was thinking of taking the brisket off the smoker at 1 or 2pm, wrap it and throw it in the oven off. When I return at midnight, turn on the oven until 10am the next day. Need it ready for around noon on Sunday.

That seems like enough cooking time, just curious about the time gap in between smoking and oven

after you wrap it in foil, don't put it in the oven, put it in the fridge, when you get home at midnight take it out of the fridge and put it in the oven then and turn it on.

you should have no problems doing it that way, I have done that before.

if you leave it in the off oven for the amount of time you are talking about be sure to stock up on TP for after you eat the brisket, lots of nasty bugs will have fun growing in that warm brisket.
