Brilliant Formula I drive by Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton proved how good a driver he really is by dominating the British Grand Prix at Silverstone yesterday in a driving rain, lapping the entire field with the exception of the second and third place finishers.
Both Ferrari drivers, as well as most others, spun out more than once in the wet conditions.
Is this the best driver to come along since Senna?

Quick comment on the race and then my opinion on your ?

I love a wet race. Always throws the top teams a loop. I do hate watching on tape delay since I can't follow with live lap times online. There is more drama than a telecast can show.

As far as best since Senna...I don't know yet if he has the "genius" artistically that Senna had. Senna performed with crap machines before promotion to a top team. He also in a wet race went from 5th to 1st in one lap passing many on the outside. Go to youtube for his highlights. He's from another planet.

Right now, Hamilton seems to be more clinical like Shumy or Prost. He is just as committed as all the greats and that will bring him even more glory than he's seen to date.

How much of an advantage was it that it was his "home course"? I would think that if it really was his home course, and he'd driven on it several times in the rain, that that would give him a very big advantage. I especially say this because it was reported that he lapped all but two cars.

thanks
