Briles to Tech?

I keep hearing more and more on this, more bad news for Texas if true. Briles might be a crappy human, but is an incredible recruiter and football coach.
 
However- Tech is confirming Wells coming back next year but Yost is out. Perhaps Briles to Liberty? He has an impressive track record at biblical institutions....
 
Better for Texas that he does not go to Tech. Herman already can't beat TCU or OU besides once per Blue Moon. Briles at Tech would add another sure loss to Herman's season.

I can see that, maybe he can clear his image after a year and CDC hires him in 2021.

Just floating an idea: would it be acceptable for a major college program (not necessarily UT) to hire on Briles as a highly paid consultant/analyst who doesn’t interact with the players? He would just analyze film of opponents, draft up plays before and during games, be in the press box with a line to the coordinators and the ability to suggest plays and adjustments, and make halftime adjustments. He would be the Xs and Os guru. All while not dealing with the players themselves. During practices, he could watch from the press box or a platform with a line to the coordinators’ earpiece to make his recommendations. He would assist in designing the O and the D.

That might be worth around 2 extra wins per year. Just having his name associated with a college (not necessarily UT) would bring a lot of taint. But if he’s not dealing directly with the players, would that be acceptable for any decent institution? He would never do an interview, wouldn’t even appear in the program, etc. Strictly a behind the scenes guy (who gets paid a lot).

If nobody will hire him as a coach, it’s just a matter of time before someone hires him in this sort of capacity.
 
We have done that. Remember Larry Fedora, who is a far better coach than Herman of ever dreamed of being. Larry was a analyst, but Herman is too smart to ever listen to an analyst.
 
Someone (not necessarily us) will do it, unless Libertine U hires him as a coach first.

Or Briles gets hired as an NFL coordinator or QB position coach—probably where he belongs at this point.

Fedora is at Baylor now and Mack is at UNC.
Briles is available to go wherever he gets an offer.
Probably not Bama, ND, Clemson, tOSU, FOX Sports or Texas for that matter.

No responsibility for the character of young men or the protection of young co-eds from said young men. No accountability for what his players do on their own time. No sweeping stuff under rugs or propping up the facade of a religious institution.
