The show led off with HSO's on PennState and Paterno's pathetic non-handling of criminal acts on campus. One host after another gave their opinions.

Gets to BJ and Aaron Taylor, they come out with the fact they were abused sexually as kids. Hard to listen to, but they were open and urged other kids, PSU or otherwise, to step forward to authorities if this pathetic crime happenbed to them.

If you can see it, it rips your heart a bit...they don't stay on the topic long, but hit the subject very honest and hard

Pretty remarkable that they opened up that way.

Unfortunately, child molestation is way too common. My wife, an Asst DA, is finishing up one of her last cases from when she did juvenile cases. I was shocked how many of her cases were older kids molesting younger kids including siblings, which of course is a perpetuation of a cycle. And her cases sadly pale in comparison to those I have heard social workers tell. There are some really evil and demented people out there.

There were a couple of callers to the Dan Patrick Show that admitted they were molested as children. You could here it in their voices as they started to crack. They too urged the other kids to step forward. This is such an epic tragedy. I hope that somehow, somewhere there is good that comes of this. That some pedo's who think they got away with something in fact get burned by it. That some victims come forward and put people away.

We as a society have to be strong and understanding. We have to reiterate that they did nothing wrong, they were taken advantage of. They are NOT dirty, the scumbag perp is. We have to mean it and not just say it. We have to remove the negative stigma in being the victim in sex crimes for men and women. Easier said than done.

That’s so courageous for them to reveal something as personal and painful as that, especially when the natural instinct is probably to bury it and keep silent. I admire them enormously for adding their own voice and experience to a difficult conversation.
