Brennan's In Houston is GONE

I was reading a weather story earlier today and it mentioned that (1) Brennen's is gone and that (2) people were injured in the fire.

This isn't the original story that I read (that part has been editted out of the Weather Channel article I original read), but it comes from what appears to be a wikipedia-type site.

Very disappointing. Growing up in Houston, I have fond memories of that place. I truly wish them the best and hope they rebuild or remodel.

Katrina almost did in Ella Brennan. She is getting old and I have a feeling that she won't rebuild. Talked with Carl Walker about it and it sure is sad. He is the general manager down there at Brennan's. Sad to see a restaurant of that magnitude burn down.

I believe Ella's son runs the resteraunt. Hopefully he will rebuild as it is definitely a Houston institution and it is the only resteraunt any of the Brennan's family owns in Houston. Watching the fire on the news was the last thing I saw prior to my own electricity going out.
