Breckinridge

Headed to Breckinridge on the 19th of August for a week. My family --(8 year old girl and 6 your old boy) is going to Breckinridge with my brother and his family. We have never been and are looking for some good ideas to do while there. We are looking into atv rides, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, hiking,etc. Any suggestions would be helpful.

we went last year.

even though the water is cold, kids seem to love to play in the river in town. cool way to spend an afternoon if its sunny.

we did rafting, its about 1 1/2 hrs away, name escapes me, but the real popular spot. it was fun.

we went on some hikes, you can get maps with trails, ratings, length, trail heads, etc all over the area.

didn't do atv or horseback. lots of bike riding options, too.

I think there's an Alpine Slide at Breck. Great fun! You ride the chair lift up the mountain and then ride to the bottom in a personal sled that slides down a winding chute. You control the speed so you can choose to fly down (and risk being thrown off the chute into the grass) or take it easy. Last time I was there they also had a nice climbing wall.
