Great point. As a TX/ASU fan I would take Graham over Herman in a heartbeat.I have a customer who is plugged into the ASU program and the administration. He told me a few weeks ago that he really hoped Graham would be around for a while. His argument was that Graham has effectively changed the culture at ASU, and that his challenge at the school is considerable given the disadvantage of the AZ schools to recruit versus USC, UCLA, Cal, Standord, Oregon, etc.
Graham was 46-31 during his 6 year tenure. Given the massive advantages associated with our program at Texas, I wonder how 46-31 compares to our record over the same period? (That was a rhetorical question.)
Texas and Michigan and other programs for that matter have learned the hard way that you don't fire a coach after a winning season with the program improving. Here at Texas we are still recovering from such a move. Michigan is also still trying to recover from Lloyd Carr firing. When are ADs going to learn. This is a textbook example of insanity.
Firing Graham was a terrible move

Don't hold back, go ahead and tell us how you REALLY feel!Todd Graham is a chicken **** son of a *****, who could give Kevin Sumlin lessons in lying. He is such a piss poor excuse for a human being that I'd be ashamed to introduce him to your dog as a representative of the species.
You obviously don't know the person & I use the term loosely. I'd rather submit to Fenves wishes to hire Bill Clinton or Obama as HC. Is there a worse example of what class and character are not in all of coaching? NO! and I remind you that Schnellenberger, Beamer, Erickson, & Tressel are still alive and Pelini & Urban Myth are still coaching.
Which coach did Texas fire with the program improving?
SH, I have heard this about Graham many times before but never was provided any specifics, other than lying to his players about staying when he had no intention of doing so at a previous job (perhaps Rice?). What's the story?Todd Graham is a chicken **** son of a *****, who could give Kevin Sumlin lessons in lying. He is such a piss poor excuse for a human being that I'd be ashamed to introduce him to your dog as a representative of the species.
A typical example of Todd Graham integrity:
He is rumored to be leaving Rice, but goes to dinner at the home of University President with the AD. During dinner, he assures them that he is not leaving and not considering any other jobs. Twelve hours later, he is introduced as Tulsa's HC......
There is a story about Tuberville while at Tech being at dinner with some recruits. He gets up from the table, says he has to take a call and walks away. Never returns. Next morning it is announced he is the new coach at Cincinnati.
I am not a he. And I meant Mack. National Champion and climbing back up since 11. Just not fast enough for the likes of impatient Orangebloods. We were 8-5 when he was fired. How many of us would take 8-5 about now after the dumpster fire that has been this program since 14.
Perhaps, but it's looking like they're ready to give away the bank to find out.“Our expectations at A&M are very high," Woodward said. "We believe that we should compete for SEC championships on an annual basis and, at times, national championships. I believe that we need a new coach to take us there. On behalf of Aggies everywhere, my thanks to Kevin and his family for his service to Texas A&M. I wish him the very best.”
This is delusional -
Should read “competing for bowl eligibility on an annual basis, and for SEC west titles at times. “
