Complete with real-time scoreboard, empty trophy case and honor guard. Tradition requires one student to sit during all games at the memorial in case the current coach is fired during the game and "the thirtieth man" is needed to coach. At the groundbreaking, new coach Elko will be presented with a plaque with his dismissal date and buy-out figures not filled in. Former coaches memorial president, Jimbo Fisher, has agreed to share his skills in "fundraising from aggies" for the effort.

that is a generous and typical nice offer from you.

I am ashamed there are supposed Longhorns who this it is ok to NOT donate and still post over and over because they can for free.

Is this true? So they are so lame they are trying to ride Bear Bryant's coat tails. He coached there for four years, compiling a 24-15-2 record. And they're giving him a statue? This is beyond embarrassing.

And even an old fart sponsor like me should be reminded ****

It was more of a suggestion for a new turdition on my part. Sorry if you donatesd money to the project (like I did).

The amusing aggie angle is that although the fame of the Junction Boys culminating in a movie in 2002, almost certainly led to the theft of Coach Fran from Bama in 2002. A hiring that was often tied to Aggie payback for the loss of the Bear. To me, this was an even aggier moment than the Jimbo debacle or the swag copter crash, but none the less hard not to watch. The truth is, all programs have multiple coaching setbacks and disappointments, but only Aggie has a way to amplify the cost and embarrassment enough to justify a memorial named after a coach(es) that won titles at other schools. (the plaque with empty spaces for buyout and end date was my idea but based loosely on other Aggie fill-in-the-blank coaches' trophies).

The beauty of HF is that it is monitored by people not Algorithms. That value costs time, money, and effort. Life is expensive.
