What does this have to do with any other candidate? McCain has always portrayed himself as Mr. Integrity/Good Government. Truth is, he's always had a blind spot when it comes to lobbyists. He was part of the Keating Five, for God's sake.

He's always gotten a pass on this because the media likes him.

The New York Times endorsed-Hillary as the more experienced of two great candidates.

McCain as the least evil of the Republicans.

The endorsements were interesting reads.

I'm not sure what the point of that story was. If it was to portray McCain's vulnerability to lobbyists, that could have been accomplished without the repeated suggestion of a romantic liaison with one of the lobbyists.

What gets me is that Republicans are already concentrating on the motives of the NYT instead of the facts of the story itself.

Like I said earlier, McCain has always had a soft spot for lobbyists, regardless of what the NYT says.

I didn't even know the NYT still mattered. This is some weak news here. There is no proof whatsoever that there was an extramarital affair and the article doesn't really even claim it to have happened.

I guess the story read to confusing to me. I did not understand the point.

That was a long article by four writers with not many specifics other than sometimes he supported things that helped her clients and other times he did not -- and some observers say those actions were consistent with his positions.

So is this supposed to be scandalous because of the rumored romantic link?
