Breakfast Tacos in Dallas

Just graduated in May and I'm back in Dallas with a newfound love for breakfast tacos. However, I'm having a very difficult time finding some quality tacos. I do have a Taco C and Whataburger nearby but I'd like to try some local places. I'm in northeast Dallas around Audelia and Walnut Hill. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

There is nowhere near the glut of excellent breakfast taco places here that there is in Austin. I do know Fuel City Tacos (the one in the gas station) on Industrial makes a mean breakfast taco, but they're not exactly close to you. Worth the trip, though.

Taco Bueno's breakfast tacos aren't too shabby. But, I concur that Dallas doesn't have any hot spots for them other than Fuel City.

I mentioned the lack of good breakfast tacos in Dallas to one of my neighbors not too long ago- he just looked at me with puzzlement. I had to explain to him what a breakfast taco is. And, I don't even live in the suburbs.

I have lived in Fort Worth for 5 years and I have only found one really kick *** breakfast taco place (Taqueria Melis off Vickery).

The Joe T's Esperanza Bakery does a decent chorizo & egg, but the thing is humongous...it's like a burrito.

The last poster was right. Mention breakfast tacos up here and people wonder what the hell you're talking about.

Surely some of those taquerias east of Central Expressway -- around Park and Walnut Hill -- have good breakfast tacos. (Or around Bachman Lake.) They are really good for regular tacos. I just hit Fuel City for the first time late this afternoon and it was everything it was advertised to be.

This is suprising to say, but the Urban Market in that loft building downtown makes some great breakfast tacos. It's not the whole-in-the-wall type place where such things are normally found, but they are worth a shot. I know that is not near the original poster, but if you ever want some tacos and are with people that want American style breakfasts or fancy granola, give downtown a shot.

Cuqitas on East Henderson serves the best Mexican breakfast in town. Not tacos, but plates with flour tortillas, so you make your own.

Obviously everyone's all over Fuel City, but if you want to drive over to Marsh Lane at Forest Lane there is Casa Navarro - a long time inexpensive good quality Tex-Mex and have great breakfast tacos. They made 50 for us last Tx-OU weekend. Yum, yum.

Hook'em!!!

Picked up some breakfast tacos this morning at Fuel City. Very good. A bit on the smallish side, but nice and greasy.

I have to recommend Lunas Tortilla Factory located at McKinney and Woodall Rogers. They are small but the best I have found. Man do I miss the Don Juan El Taco Grande at Juan in a Million.

El Paisa makes damn good breakfast tacos. I believe there's one on Walnut Hill. but it's closer to Stemmons. there are several in NW Dallas / Carrollton area.
