Breakfast ideas needed

I'm preparing breakfast Saturday for about 16 people, and am looking for ideas. I will prepare it at home, and then will have to transport it 25 miles to my office. The more preparation I can do in advance, the better, so that I don't have to get up at 2:00 in the morning. I have a warmer to keep things hot, and a microwave will also be available for rewarming.

Any suggestions?

Bacon will take the longest, especially bacon for that many people. I would cook all the bacon the night before, save some of the grease for the eggs. Scramble the eggs with cheddar cheese or what ever you like in them in the morning, probably 3 dozen given that many people. Then get flour tortillas, some picante sauce, cheese, pickled japs, pico, and other condiments for the breakfast tacos. This may not be the easiest option, but it is what I would do. A breakfast cassrerole would certainly be the easiest. Google it..

May I refer you to NickDanger's Mexican Breakfast Lasagna...

[quoteMexican breakfast lasagna.

Line buttered pyrex with roasted chiles. Layer of chorizo (and buy some good chorizo goddammit, like Kiolbassa brand)browned with garlic and onions. Layer of corn tortillas, layer of grated cheddar and pepper jack (grate 1 package each and divide into thirds). Layer of chorizo, layer of tortillas, layer of cheese, layer of chorizo, layer of tortillas, layer of cheese. Drench the whole thing with a dozen beaten eggs and as much cream as will fit in. Cool overnight. Bake at 350 for an hour or so until bubbly.

Drink a bloody mary and go back to bed for a few hours

I was going to suggest Nick Danger's breakfast lasagna recipe, but DeadHeadHorn beat me to it. Let me just say that it is GREAT, and has always been a hit when I've made it for breakfast pot lucks at work. I also serve it with some sour cream, and sliced avacado. YUM!

Biscuits/gravy is pretty easy to prepare in advance, and can asily serve a lot of people.

You can cook the gravy the night before and bake store-bought biscuits before you leave. Also, scramble some eggs.

Put it all in a warmer when you get there and it's money.
