First, let me say...Are the officials the main reason we lost? Hell no. Now...with that out of the way...

All day long I'm watching an Oklahoma State team bump and grind against our team as they outplay us. I have no problem with the physical nature of the game...as long as they stay consistent. And consistent I felt they did stay....Right up until Texas pulled within 1 with the pressure defense and the refs decided to suddenly call three ticky tack (hell...even questionable at all) fouls against Abrams for brushing his guy as they ran down the sideline....For another player (dont remember who) touching a guy on the hand while reaching in to try and tie him up after a rebound...and for Dogus having his hands up in the air and backing up while the OSU guy was bringing the ball up.

Those three calls immediately killed our momentum and allowed OSU to stretch the lead out again. True, Texas could have and should have fought back from that but it was a ridiculous sequence of events.
 
I've never understood why people like yourself find it enjoyable to be rude on message boards. You would never act like that in real life (or at least you shouldnt) so why do it online? Is it just the chance to be anonymous as you post behind a computer? You are not all-knowing, Bierce. Other people have opinions that differ from your own. Feel free to disagree with them on their points or even their merit but unless that person has insulted you there is never a need to do so yourself.
 
The refs aren't the reason we lost, our piss-poor shooting, play selection and (gulp) coaching were, but you could definitely make a good argument that the refs tipped the balance in OK State's favor in the last few minutes.

In addition to TexanWolv's list, there was a "no call" when AJ was clearly forced out of bounds, which ended up giving the ball back to OSU. Coach Barnes was livid at the refs for not calling that one.
 
I'm sorry if you took my statement that this thread was a mistake as a personal insult. I was trying to comment on your post, not on you personally, and I have no reason to suspect you are anything other than a fine fan and person.

I just don't see the point of complaining about officiating after a loss like that. I particularly don't understand the need to complain about officiating, entitling the thread "Bravo Mr. Official's [sic] . . . Bravo," yet try to claim the defense that you aren't blaming the refs for the outcome.

Sorry again, but it looks very much as if you are. There just isn't any way to say you aren't blaming the refs, then criticize the refs, and not have people think you are blaming the refs.
 
This thread is stupid. The refs were not great in the second half, yeah. But if you are going to complain you should be in the OSU camp because they got hurt by the refs more than we did. Drop the bias for once...
