Brandon Williams

All offseason I thought I heard that Malcolm Brown was the top back in Texas and possibly the nation. Now I read in the AAS that he is #2 in Texas behind Brandon Williams who went to OU. Who is Brandon Williams?

Not that this matters but just hadn't heard the pub on BW vs MB.

Lot of Pub all year over Malcolm, A Green, H Sims, and B Williams ( even a couple more Texans mentioned in some ). All 4 were hyped to be in the top 5-7 RBs in the country. Most still have Malcolm #1 but a few moved him down a sqeinch after the offensive meltdown called the Army all american game in San Antonio. I would have been happy landing any of the 4. Sims was my personal favorite, but hey....

Supposedly Williams committed to Baylor, then switched to OU.

I believe Rivals still has MB #1, with Williams #3 behind Wilder that signed with FSU.

B willimas has supposedly blown away the coaches in the off season workouts. His 40 time is already one of the fastest on the team, and so are the other measurements(vert, shuttle)
teamates are already calling him AD jr.
Now saying that its all about what you do on the field, but so far hes a complete FREAK>

I saw Brandon Williams play in '09 against Sealy, a 3A playoff team. He and his QB were unstoppable in the first half...their main play was to run wide to the sideline and then outrun everyone to the endzone. Neither team seemed to be playing defense and both had scored around 40 pts by halftime. Sealy won 64-42 or something like that, so they found some way to stop him. He could outrun everyone on the field, but I didn't see him do much up the middle. Don't think he'll be the workhorse the MB will be.

the AAS list is done by Bobby Burton. Burton moved Maloclm to number 2 because of his Army game performance. Pretty stupid as they only gave him 2 touches and he got 11 yards. Williams did nothing on the all star circuit.

The sky is the limit on Brown at Texas and Williams at Oklahoma. I can't think there has been a better crop of running backs in Texas. Maybe the Dickerson/James class of whatever year that was when SMU was buying some of the best talent out there, but I can't remembe what other great backs there were that year. Sims, Green, Kevin Williams and maybe a couple others from this class have "wow factor" out the wazoo..

I agree both rbs got screwed in the all star games. Its become a game for qbs, wrs, and dlineman. evryone else just kinda watches.
