I received a call from my mechanic this morning asking if I wanted my rear brake pads replaced. I just had the brakes done 20,000 miles ago at Brake Specialists (on 183, next to the Taco Cabana). The work order at the time was to replace ALL 4 brake pads. Apparently they felt they could save a few bucks on their end and charge me for it anyway. Bunch of thieves.
I take my car to just one shop now. I highly recommend it. If you own a VW, the guys at Underground VW are awesome. They came highly recommended by the Austin VW Club, and are a bunch of guys who enjoy working on cars.
