Brake Repair Shops

I need to get the pads replaced on my truck. Anyone know of a place that will do a good job?

Bethke on E. 7th Street. Easily the best in town and trustworthy. I took my suburban there the first time I went there and told them my brakes just dont' feel right, tell me what's wrong then call me. I left the door open for them to attempt to stick me. They called and said they just dusted them off, they look fine. $10 bucks. Been back several times and they do a great job and are one of the few honest auto shops in town.

If you're in Austin, there is a shop called Empire Automotive right next to the police station and municipal court on 7th street that is great. They are honest, fairly priced, and they do a good, fast job. I have referred several friends there, esp. girls who were afraid of being taken advantage of, and they have all been happy.

Man they should put more repair shops near police stations, maybe that keeps them honest.

Thanks for the info I need brakes also. I'm tired of those bad dreams at night when I can't stop at a light and get nailed by another car in the intersection.

Avoid Brake Check. They will try to scam you every single time.

dont try fast brake, they suck..........everytime i get mine done the damn shims...slide out of place and make noises and i have to redo it myself.......
