I wonder if Bradley's decision to stay in the NBA Draft has anything to do with Joseph's commitment?

I see, Joseph is coming because Bradley is going? Interesting, I wonder if that is actually the case.

Has Avery hired an agent or said that he intends to enter the draft? If not, at least as I understand it, he has until May 8 to withdraw his name and maintain his eligibility. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if he did enter the draft.

I have not heard if Bradley has hired an agent, but one of the afternoon sports talk shows mentioned that Avery has been getting some favorable scouting reports putting him as a first round pick. Not a lottery pick by any means, but enough assurance that he will get picked in the first round to keep him in the draft pool. I think Avery is gone.

Don't have the url but ESPN reported the other day that Bradley was "staying in the NBA draft." Didn't say anything about an agent or anything else.

Where are they looking? Overseas? JUCO? At overlooked high schoolers? Late push on someone not formerly known to be considering Texas?

That would be a nice pick up. At first glance, I thought he's not in top 20 for his position, only 6'7", eh, so what? Then I watched some vid.

Seems to be an intelligent kid, too.

I would not say that Thornton is a big but more of a tweener. More of a 3-4 instead of a 4-5 guy.
Skills set is nice more of a 3 then a four but he appears to get after it all the time when I saw him play. Has a good handle ,passes and makes dimes.
Defends well and would be a great get for us but will he help with Baylor or any other big front line. Not so much.
Very good offense side scores at all 3 levels. Still need a good Big !

yeah, he seems like a tweener to me, too. but, damion was a tweener...not that i'm predicting thornton to be as good as damion james. anyway, this is potentially big because it's all relative to what we have on our roster. i have absolutely zero confidence in wangmene, chapman, and hill. i can easily envision even a 6'7" freshman tweener still coming in and being a major factor.

Thornton will fit in.
Remember PJ Tucker?? Going back a little further Carlton Cooper and Ron Baxter??
Texas has always had PFs below 6 '7"

If Avery Bradley leaves that means we lose 4
(Mason, James. Pittman and Bradley) Lucas will get his ship even if we add 2 more

Looks like a SF to me. Very reminiscent of Damion. And my eyes may have been deceiving me, but I think I saw a made free throw in there.

I've still got some hope for Chapman.
I know, I know, but I've just got this feeling that he is going to surprise some of us next year.

texdoc,
that is very optimistic of you.

chapman, out of the three-headed monster, is the one that has the most potential. that's not terribly encouraging, but, if one of the three is going to breakout next year, chances are it will be clint.

as for thornton's video...yes, i noticed the made FT, too. but i also noticed that it only showed him making the second one, leading us to breathlessly speculate the result of the front end. i like his highlights and would really like to see UT snag him. this is the type of athleticism that we were missing this past year on our supposedly "athletic" team.

Probably the first time I've seen a high-level athlete considered a combo player with the two positions not being next to each other number-wise. I.e. SG is 2 and PF is 4, but not listed at SF? Just weird.
