WOW! Now there's a memory from a long since passed day and time! It's hard to believe tickets could had in that manner, but I remember being able to do just that. Knothole tickets were also offered to AISD and faculty could give them as incentives.WOW! The Austin Liberal Bowl, played in a 100,000+ seat stadium before 1200 rabid fans, featuring powerhouses like 5-7 New Mexico against 4-8 Montana Tech, sponsored by Bubba's Towing, Chavez Salvage Yard up in the old "Flats", and Catholic Healthcare Incompetence (nothing says "success" like being sponsored by an entity losing $700 million a year).
My second suggestion would be to revert back to the "knot hole section", where kids in Austin can get in free if they ask an Austin police officer for a ticket.
Lose a bowl game at home., that’s all we need.
That reminds me, somewhere tucked away I have a pretty cool Alamo Bowl watch given to me by a Longhorn player.
Teams actually get some cool treats from bowl sponsors, not just wrist and sweatbands.
