Boston hotels?

Making another trip to Boston at the end of this month. One thing seems to be for certain: Boston hotels are expensive.

I stayed with a friend last go around, but she's moved. And this time I'll be coming in to Boston after a week long road trip from the west coast...so I'm looking for some cheap options. Any ideas? I've looked into Couch surfing, wondering if anyone had experience with that.

Thanks hornfans!

(PS, it's the yankees series when I'm going to be there so I may also try to snag a ticket for that if it's not too crazy).

What price range are you hoping for?

You will not find this place on any of the typical travel deal websites (expedia, hotels.com, etc.), but it's a tremendous bargain in any season, if you can get a room:The Link

I stayed at this place last time. It's in Brookline, about 2-3 miles from Fenway. It's right on the Green Line that takes you to Kenmore Square. Rates are good. Nothing fancy but doesn't sound like you need that:

I'm thinking $70 and less if I had to book right now. The Road trip from the west coast is taking place in an RV that gets 8-10 mpg so I have to cut costs somewhere. But, thanks for the suggestion. That place looks great, and would be good for me were I not in this situation.

If I can't find anything in my price range (looking shaky now) I may use couchsurfing.com and see what comes up.
