Bora Bora

I echo everything Dogg said. We didn't spend anytime in Tahiti (took a short jump to Bora Bora as soon as we got there). We spent 4 days on Bora Bora at the Le Maitai and 4 days on Moorea at the Sheraton Moorea. Did over the water on both. It's more expensive obviously, but incredibly worth it. I preferred the diving in Bora Bora, but liked the hotel more in Moorea (the bungalow was further out in the water there).

If you've got any questions, PM me.

send me your address and i'll send you the email chain between me and 2 of my friends who have all been there in the past year. it pretty much cuts out the crap and your left with a perfect experience in bora bora. we stayed at the intercontinental thalasso spa and it was unreal, would highly recommend. la villa mahana is hands down the best restaurant, make a reservation first thing when you arrive!

sorry, i just assumed you were going by the thread title. it's a no brainer, if you can get the time off and can afford the trip...then you should go there. everything else can wait, don't die before getting a chance to visit bora bora!

also stayed at the Bora Bora Lagoon resort for our honeymoon. Definitely overwater bungalow. Bloody Mary's was a cool spot.

do not waste your time on Tahiti, do Moorea and Bora Bora

Save up for the trip...it's f'in expensive, but worth it

a little warning...Bora Bora will ruin every other tropical trip you ever take. It's that beautiful.

I went to Bora Bora/ Moorea/ Tahiti last November on my honeymoon. Spent 2 nights in Tahiti which was one too many.. I think Tahiti has some beautiful waterfalls and things on the back side of the island, but it does not hold a candle to Moorea or Bora Bora.

We stayed at the Intercontinental at Moorea and then at the Sofitel in Bora Bora (upgraded to overwater bungalow in Bora Bora ) and well worth it.

Amazing trip and I will do it again one day before I die. I know American occasionally runs specials out of New York to Bora Bora for like 30,000 miles a person.. so that saves you a lot of $$ on airfare ... you just have to get to NY City..

We used miles for our honeymoon and it cost us 75K miles a person, so in my opinion getting to NYC is worth it if you want to go.

PM me if you have any questions.
