Booze at Big XII Champ Game ...

Hey BH, I'm pretty sure that on this thread and a couple of others, folks have chimed in who actually called the venue and asked, and the venue replied "affirmative" to the selling of hooch to all comers at the B12 CCG.

And I know you-- it IS make or break for you!

UPDATE Called Jerryworld [817 892-4161] they said only suites and club seating and maybe a bar on the 4th floor but you have to drink it there.
 
Here are my data points:

* 1998 Texas vs. MSU at Cotton Bowl -> beer sold throughout (even with 10am kickoff).
* 1999 Texas vs. Nebarska at AlamoDome -> beer sold throughout.
* 2001 Texas @ UH at Roberston Stadium -> beer sold throughout (and damn cheap if memory serves, tons of people drank too much).
* 2001 Texas vs. CU at Texas Stadium -> beer sold throughout.
* 2002 Texas vs. LSU at Cotton Bowl -> beer sold throughout (even with 10am kickoff).
* 2003 Texas vs. Rice at Reliant -> beer sold in the Club section (our seats were in the Club section).
* 2004 Texas vs. Michigan at Rose Bowl -> beer sold throughout.
* 2005 Texas vs. CU at Reliant -> beer not sold throughout, our seats were behind the band and we couldn't buy beer.
* 2005 Texas vs. USC Rose Bowl -> beer sold throughout.
* 2006 Texas vs. Iowa Alamo Bowl -> beer sold throughout.
 
Just called the same number and was told that there will be party/beer tents set up all along the plazas leading immediately into the east and west sides of the stadium, and that you can get your ticket scanned in/out to leave/re-enter. Pretty much like any game at DKR, and you won't have to walk as far as to your tailgate...
