Books on The Alamo

After watching "The Alamo" on AMC twice this weekend, I'd like to read a book or two on the subject. Does anyone have a recommendation?

"The Gates Of The Alamo" by Stephen Harrigan is pretty good. Yes, it's a fictional story, but still a very good read.

I took Texas History at UT for one of my history credits. We read "Dual of Eagles". Very good read. It debunks many myths and is a bit controversial but I recommend it.

Texian Iliad is very good. It's about the whole war, I found it very interesting.

I've been wanting to read Three Roads to the Alamo about Travis, Crockett and Bowie's paths to the Alamo...

"Lone Star Nation" by H.W. Brands is an excellent book. More about the overall history of Texas and events leading up to the Alamo, but very comprehensive.

I'll second Lone Star Nation, but I am a huge Brands fan. I'm reading his biography of FDR right now and loving it.
