Lots of future longhorns played in this tournament with Cy Fair (Atkins and McCarty's team) making it to the championship. They ended up losing, but Atkins had a great game. She scored 25 points in the second half!

for 2014. And L.Higgs at No.3 for 2015 Class.

05LH, thanks for the video link. Brooke and Ariel really look good handling the ball and shooting. Gotta love the way they are able to penetrate and finish, especially Brooke. Glad to see both use the glass to finish shots when needed.

They have JaLea Bennett as #51, but not listed as a commitment to Texas. Sure hope she is still committed.

Yeah, I have been wondering about JaLea. Can't seem to find her listed as a Texas commit in any of the recruiting lists. I also hope she still a commit.

Well ESPN seems to have JaLea listed as a Texas committment but perhaps you mean lists other than Hoopgurlz. Even though the original site is gone I've been told that the Hoopgurlz recruiting lists were still being updated. So you would think if there has been any change with JaLea it would have been reflected there.

well, thanks for that info, overseas. Glad to see that. Also seem to recall her listed at 6-0/6-1 in other google searches I have done. She would be the only 2014 recruit at 6-0 or better.

Here is an article from Full Court highlighting 16 players from the DFW tourney. Texas commits Higgs and Szczepanski-Beavers both make the list. Higgs was their unofficial MVP.
