One of the few upsides to the pandemic--football on a Tuesday evening! I wish there were games every day. Bills (4-0) at Titans (3-0) at 6 pm central on CBS.

It was my idea to move the P5 conference games to different nights of the week in 2020 (since stands are only 25% full, people working from home, etc). Basically college football on 5 nights, HS football on Friday and pro football Sunday.

Kenny Vaccaro is still at strong safety for the Titans, and they intercept the Bills on the first series. Then, Tannehill makes them pay with a 16 yard TD pass to A.J. Brown.

Buffalo ties it up with a long drive, including several successful third and long conversions. btw, Geoff Swaim is on the Titans now. . . .The Titans take advantage of a long punt return that put them in great field position, and they punch it in to take a 14-7 lead early in the second quarter.

Tannehill leads the Titans on a length-of-the-field drive at the end of the first half and runs it in from about the 10 with about 20 seconds left. 21-10 Titans on top at the half, and they will get the ball to start the second half.

Allen throws another interception, this one to Butler, who makes a tremendous run back for more than 60 yards deep into Buffalo territory. Tannehill's receivers are covered and he has to throw one out of the end zone on third down, but Buffalo roughs him, so Tannehill gets another shot, and he throws a short TD pass. 28-10 Tennessee on top. This is a double surprise because the Titans have been unable to practice for two weeks due to positive COVID tests.

Allen leads a good drive and throws a pretty TD pass to cut the margin to 12. The two point try is no good.

The Titans eat some clock on their next drive. They have third and long at about the Buffalo 30 with 5:39 left in the game and still leading by 12. The Titans draw Buffalo offsides to make it third and two and then run for the first down.

The Titans now have third and 2 on about the Buffalo 10 with 4 minutes left and Buffalo takes a timeout. Henry starts up the middle, and there is nothing there, so he bounces it outside for the TD. 35-16.

The Buffalo kick-off returner coughs it up in the air right into a Titan defender's hands.

Tannehill throws another TD pass. I thought he was clearly over the line, but it was reviewed and stood. 42-16 with about 1:59 left. Buffalo has been embarrassed.

I really do not follow NFL and as an Oiler fan living in Nashville, I remain unaffiliated with the Titans. Last night we were at friends house and they had the game on. I must say Derrick Henry reminds me of the old school backs like Payton and Campbell who always fought going down.
