One of my childhood favorites. I was not a Yankee fans but Bobby Mercer was one of my favorites

June 6, 1973, Arlington Stadium, Yankees at Rangers....I was a nine-year-old boy at the ballpark with my family. The Yankees' 26-year-old, All-Star centerfielder, Bobby Murcer steps to the plate and lifts a pop foul down the third base line, behind the dugout. My father reaches behind me and makes a one-handed grab. My first and only Major League baseball. A great catch by Dad and one of my greatest thrills involving baseball. I still have the ball and will never forget Bobby Murcer. That being said, "Yankees Suck!!! Go Rangers!!!"
