Bob Knight as analyst

Sounds very good based on one half of Duke-SIU. He says a lot but doesn't talk over the action of each play. He probably doesn't even know the thousand cliches that make up so much of what most color analysts say.

It also helps to be paired with Dan Shulman who doesn't kiss up to him the whole game as a lot of PBP announcers would. Just a lot of solid basketball knowledge.

 

[Third Coast]

Knight's his own guy and it is refreshing to listen to someone that isn't trying to impress anyone. He just tells it like he sees it. His knowledge of the game is enlightening.

He could ascend to Hubie Brown or Doug Collins status if he wants to.
