Season 3 starts tomorrow for all you fans out there. I honestly don't know what to think about the new season since my favorite character took a bullet to the head in last seasons finale. I literally screamed "Nooooooooooo!" and i'm not even kidding you. lol That seems to be the norm these days with killing off popular characters with "The Sopranos" blazing the way and "The Walking Dead" taking it to whole another level. lol I can't wait!

I was glad to see Darmody get hit - esp by Nucky - but wondering abt the business relationships between Nucky / his group and the Capone / Luciano gang, since Darmody was the common thread. I suppose Rothstein will be that tie now that he's working w/ Nucky, but he's not nearly as interesting as Darmody and his background.

I hope this doesn't lessen the characters of Richard Harrow, and more especially of Gretchen Mol and her nakedness.

Good start. Darmody's buddy exacts some revenge while Nucky streamlines his operation during the 1923 New Years party. Some tension is brewing with the new Italian dude. Other subplots are unfolding too. The first episode did not let me down.

I will be one pised off fan if they ever do away with the Richard Harrow character. It was a shock to see him take out Manny, but absolutely not a surprise.

It was a shock but not a surprise?

I'm in the minority but Darmody and harrow wear me out. The series drags with the focus on them. I was glad to see Nucky establish character domination and waste Darmody. I do not think Harrow will go away. There may be some future conflict between he and Mol.

Mol's character (Gillian) is a sicko. She probably already has her eyes on her grandkid, if you know what I mean. I also think she is going to harm Harrow. Harrow had a soft spot in his heart for Angela and Gillian clearly doesn't like Angela's memory being kept alive. Or Harrow kills Gillian.

I was sorry to see Jimmy whacked. He was a good character and a nice heir-apparent to Nucky, imo.

Gyp seems to be such a loose cannon that he's gonna get whacked soon, too. His insult to Nucky will not go unpaid.

Van Alden is great. I'm hoping that he goes to work for the dude who dissed Capone. If for nothing else to give Michael Shannon a reason to stay in the series and have more screen time.

I watched this the other night and was very impressed - I like this series. I especially like Nucky's girlfriend from the New Years Eve party. I think I am hooked!

SPOILER ALERT!

Well the plot thickens. I didn't really see Harrow confessing to Nucky that he killed Manny and when he was asked why he said it was because of Angela. Did Harrow have more then friendly feelings for Angela? I remember when Angela sketched him to show him what he looks like to her but I guess I missed something. Maybe she saw a man and not a monster like most people I assumed saw Harrow. Also I thought that explaining why he was OK with Jimmy's death was because he was a soldier and that sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and Jimmy lost. I would have thought he would be more loyal then that. I think Nucky is going to utilize Harrow's unique services soon. ALSO...where exactly does Gillian think Jimmy is? She says he is going to return soon since he owns the deed to the house that Gillian is operating her brothel in.

Yes, he had an eternal woody for her, but would never say anything because she was married to his best friend.

After the last episode...Gillian is more disturbed than I realized. That guy she found who likes Jimmy really does look like Jimmy! lol

"I've been travelin' for 18 hours. I need some chow and some sleep. After that, we'll talk about who dies."

Greatness.

Season Finale Spoilers!

OK first things first. Harrow is a bad mofo with a gun in his hand. lol How many guys did he kill? Like 20??

Did Gillian OD on a lethal dose of heroin?? It was sort of up in the air so it could have gone either way.

I wish they caught up with the Van Alden storyline in the finale. Last thing I remember was Capone's thugs snatched Van Alden when he was peddling booze on his turf.

And finally. Man I was hoping Gyp Rosetti survived until next season. He was a ruthless, sadistic, paranoid mad dog with a touch of narcissism. lol When Masseria pulled his support for Rosetti I knew it was the end for Gyp. It goes to show their is no loyalty in gangsters and in the back of Masseria's mind he knew sooner or later he'd have to deal with Gyp if he ever decided to make a power play for his spot. Gyp was the perfect gangster and he was perfectly cast. The guy stole all his scenes IMHO. I thought when he killed his top lieutenant's cousin when he bludgeoned him to death with the shovel in front of him I knew that was going to come back to haunt him because his lieutenant begged for his life but Gyp being Gyp just didn't give a ****. He was ruthless but he got his in the end.

Also another thing....what was the purpose of ambushing Masseria's men as they were headed back to NY? I thought when Rothstein and Masseria got together....a truce was part of the deal?? BUT it looks like Nucky has other plans because he is setting up Rothstein as a scapegoat to the FEDS as the owner of the distillery.

Oh well season three is in the books.

Yeah, I suspect the death of Masseria's men was part of Nucky's plan. Rothstein got Masseria to agree, Masseria's guys die, Rosthstein is indicted, Masseria takes over. This then leads Luciano and Lansky to bond with Nucky and Luciano eventually takes out Masseria.

Rothstein and Masseria will both go down.

I hope they keep Harrow's character around.

God knows what will happen to Jillian

The odds are pretty good on that for Rothstein I would think, but my bet for Masseria would be on Luciano or Siegel.
