BO weighing 'options'

does anyone remember when BO intervened in Libya because of "global responsibility to protect civilians threatened by Qaddafi’s forces in Benghazi?

For 3-4 days there have been tens of thousands of Yazidis trapped starving and dying of thirst in mountains after being run out of their homes by ISIS.

How long can people live without water?
But thank goodness M r I will heal the world is BO on the spot
from link
"US. officials are “closely monitoring” a potential “humanitarian catastrophe” in northern Iraq but will not be sending combat troops back into the country, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Thursday..

Earnest said the United States would cooperate with Iraqi military and Kurdish authorities in the volatile region, but he declined to respond to several questions about whether the U.S. would consider any military action to protect refugees fleeing advancing Sunni militants.

and the money quote
White House officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said President Obama was weighing whether sufficient core U.S. interests are at stake in the situation to justify the use of American military power"The Link

Remind me what ' sufficient core US interests there were in Libya that there aren't in Iraq?

I am NOT advocating BO use military force although he did think the humans in Libya were in need of us using force. Not sure why he wouldn't think these people dying on a mountain top aren't in need
OR the thousands of Christians being executed and beheaded by ISIS

Hey BO how about just sending some water and mres?
and BO shouldn't have to do this alone. Where is the UN?
The rest of the free world?

I just got ticked at reading BO press secretary announced he was " weighing his options "while people are dying of thirst.

This is turning into genocide. Christians are fleeing to the mountains with ISIS chasing them. Meanwhile, Obama weighs his options.

People are dying of thirst
or being shot or beheaded
and you make a joke?
If these were white people would you still think it was funny?

at least supposedly BO is sending aid now.
Good for him!
I wonder how many died while BO 'weighed options".

Be clear he was all upset to make sure we helped the people in Libya. Ok I know the people thank him
why did he ignore people dying on a mountain with no water OR Christians being beheaded for so long?
it is not like we didn't know this was going on>
even if he only learned about this from the news.

I was hearing the news and thinking about it on the drive home. I had a pretty sure feeling that knowing obamas foreign policy, he'd order military action to kill as many of the radicals as possible -- that's been his MO. Was validated when I watched the news -- air strikes ordered on Isis!

Probably the first time in all the administration's years I've cheered. Prior to the press conference, Fox News' Chris Stirewalt said BO had better not use platitudes and generalities, but come stright to the point, clear and concise.

And that he did.

Also glad he finally "authorized" strikes. It wish he would have done it way before they marched across Syria and Iraq taking control and killing innocent people.

Seeing the aid get to the people so perhaps no more have to die was a great sight. Yes I wish it had been done sooner.
I did not know there were as many as 35,000 to 50,000 up in the mountains without food and water..

I keep remembering BO saying during his first campaign that the US can't use its military to solve humanitarian problems. At the time I wondered if he ever studied history.

But then he announced that we had to use our military to protect civilians in Libya because of We have a " global responsibility"

Obama, good for you to send aid to those people so in need.

We have dropped 2 500lb bombs on a ISIA artillery site.

OH
and what did we do in response to the suicide bombing on Yazidis in 2007?
the bombing happened on Aug 17,2007
On September 3, 2007, the U.S. military killed the mastermind of the bombings, Abu Mohammed al-Afri.

R35?
Do you research things before you post? Those hundreds of Yazidis were killed in simultaneous SUICIDE bombing attacks. Even you will admit it is hard to predict time and place for suicide attacks

Mich
?You seem to post crap as a gotcha when you have nothing else
This from you:
"If these people were Muslims would you really give a damn? I seriously doubt it,"

I mentioned the people being executed and beheaded
Are Sunnis Christians?

Then I guess BO failed every time some crazed idiot walks into a place and shoots innocent people or some illegal murders an American.
What a silly attempt by you R35

Great, now Roger 35 is criticizing Bush for not having ESP, but defends Obama for allowing a few months to pass as the killings of innocent women and children occurred. This President has been a complete failure at every single duty that is asked of him as President. He's been declaring victory and that the world is more safe than ever as ISIS is taking over Iraq and beheading children and Hamas is using children as human shields as they fire into Israel. He's finally ordered airstrikes. I ABOUT F^#$ing TIME! first time he has acted like a leader since he's been in office. Glad he didn't put down another red line to isis telling them if they behead another 100 children that there will be consequences THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER! No other President even comes close to this bad.
