I like to see someone ask the Pres tough questions, but I actually thought it was a decent answer.

Obama could not have shown his true colors before the election. Saying he wanted to reinstate the "Assault Weapons Ban" could only have cost him votes. Now he has himself an incident too good not to capitalize on, that is one after the election.
 
There is NO ONE who doesn't cry and mourn for the loss of life at that school.
The issue is BO is a complete hypcrite and jerk when he now says we must keep the children safe. oh really> ONLY now>
and then to weasel out and say he has been busy and that is why he didn't do anything to keep the kids safe before

so he was too busy and more innocent children died but he got to play 100 rounds of golf, took time to appear on how many TV shows etc?
Maybe if he'd foregone a ew rounds of golf or a TV appearance on Letterman or Chrissie he could have set something in motions tion that could have saved these kids lives or ANY of the kids getting shot in his home city.

Good for Jake Tapper to ask a tough question.
 
Lighten up, 6721. Running a country is a wee bit more difficult than what most of us do on a day to day basis. It requires a delicate weighing of priorities based on a wide range of considerations.

It is fair to surmise that Obama would have faced staunch resistance if he had pushed for gun control before this event. He would have accomplished nothing, and would have sacrificed some political capital along the way. Thus, choosing not to pursue gun control last term might have been a perfectly reasonable decision.

I'm not saying Obama did the right thing -- I'm saying that neither you nor I knows enough to judge his prioritization decisions. I am inclined to give him the same benefit of the doubt in such decisions as I gave to his predecessors and will give to his successors.
 
Correlating any random act of violence on any President's "watch" is dumb. Anyone blame Coolidge for the Bath School bombing?
 
True or false: intelligence-based info related to acts of terrorism isn't the same as a lone nut using his mom's guns to go shoot up a school. This isn't a partisan issue. Obama clearly dropped the ball with Benghazi, but it's not quite the same as 9/11. Just like Newtown isn't the same as 9/11.

I don't blame Clinton for Columbine, nor do I blame GHWB for the Luby's shooting, nor do I blame Reagan for the McDonald's massacre. Why is it different for Obama in this situation?
 
Sure there are Dems who blame Bush for everything. How does that compare to blame for a school shooting? Are you saying it's reasonable to blame Obama for it?
 
Hell yes it's Obama's fault, he said he was going to fix it, well he should have already done so if he's so dadgum smart, it's his fault, he all but said so.
