BO lies about Econ's study

If you are going to use a Princeton Economist's study to try to make Romney look bad you really should malke sure you understand the study. Otherwise you end up looking stupid.
As BO does here

"Last night, the Obama campaign blasted out another email claiming that Mitt Romney's tax plan would either require raising taxes on the middle class or blowing a hole in the deficit. "Even the studies that Romney has cited to claim his plan adds up still show he would need to raise middle-class taxes," said the Obama campaign press release. "In fact, Harvard economist Martin Feldstein and Princeton economist Harvey Rosen both concede that paying for Romney’s tax cuts would require large tax increases on families making between $100,000 and $200,000."

But that's not true. Princeton professor Harvey Rosen tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email that the Obama campaign is misrepresenting his paper on Romney's tax plan:

I can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work. It might be that they assume that Governor Romney wants to keep the taxes from the Affordable Care Act in place, despite the fact that the Governor has called for its complete repeal. The main conclusion of my study is that under plausible assumptions, a proposal along the lines suggested by Governor Romney can both be revenue neutral and keep the net tax burden on taxpayers with incomes above $200,000 about the same. That is, an increase in the tax burden on lower and middle income individuals is not required in order to make the overall plan revenue neutral.

You can check the math that shows Romney's plan is mathematically possible here.

You can't ask Barry to actually study. Study is "a drag' to quote Barry. Besides the results might not sound as good coming out of his mouth, which is what Obama and his groupies like.

Then they can get their own ring tone. The Link

BO is ripe for picking but the GOP offers nothing looking like an improvement. I don't plan to vote for either of these two Ivy League dorks. They both suck.

IN fact, there wasn't anybody running for the republican nomination who was worth the drive to the polls. Neither party has any candidates who aren't egomaniacs or have any credentials outside their ambition.

yes. i will vote for romney and if he averages a deficit exceeding 1 trillion dollars per year for his 4 years as obama has, then I will be first in line to support the democrat opponent in 4 years.

oh, and expecting BHO to understand any economic study, or what it says is kinda like expecting OU to not suck. It isn't going to happen.

I have to laugh at the guys here that call Romney a dork. Who you're calling a dork just kicked your guy’s *** all over the place in a debate. The guy you call a dork just erased millions of campaign dollar spent by Obama with character assassination in about an hour time. The guy you’re calling a dork has one hell of a resume, which includes saving the Olympics, being a governor when 85% of his legislators where Libs, and is a great businessman. The guy you’re calling a dork is about to be the next President of the United States. Go ahead and act like you know he will be a bad President as he takes steps to turn around this disaster this current President has caused.

So an expert's opinion has been misconstrued and misaligned to make a political point? Hope that backfires..

UTChE96 -- I agree with your insights about how problematic the deficit is for now and especially for the future. I envy your hope that Romney will provide an answer.

i agree with 96
" If Romney fails to reduce the deficit significantly then he should be denied a second term as well"

That is one area where voters seem to have learned their vote can count. if an elected pol is not living up to what was promised we can vote that pol out.

perhaps Romney can not do everything needed to reduce the debt. With his experiences and background at least he has a working understanding and is used to making decisions.

We have seen what Bo believes and it is only sinking us further.
I HOPE we give Romney a chance.
