you shall reign forever!

The thrill is gone.

RIP.

I know it's heresy in Texas, but I'd take BB King over Stevie Ray Vaughn any day. I'm not a big fan of the modern blues, anyway -- I much prefer the blues from the 20s and 30s. But BB King was as much an artist as anyone who has ever held a guitar, and his voice is what set him apart for me.

Sad day...I listen to the King, Buddy Guy and others at work. I have my blues playlist on now.

As a guitarist I was always impressed with SRV’s skills, both instrumentally and his vocals as well, but I just never got into his style of music that much. Heck of a great musician though.

SRV could play and sing more than just the blues. His brother Jimmy Vaughan worked with him and then help start the "Fabulous Thunderbirds."

SRV was thought of, as one of the best best ever on guitar and rightfully so. Think what more he could have been, had he lived 54 more years. He died at age 35.

B.B. King was a total blues man and one of the very best at that.
