An extraordinary act of forgiveness and mercy by Ameneh for her slime-dog attacker.

I am curious why, however, Ameneh decided to forgive Majid...
(1) Was it on purely human compassionate grounds,
(2) Was she afraid to actually dole out the revenge,
(3) Was there some Islamic/Koran doctrine that she drew upon, or
(4) Was she introduced to Christ and the Bible by underground (Christian) believers in Iran?

Like the old saying, an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.

Well, Iran didnt pardon him, she did, so I dont think thats it Longhorny.

Could it be that she just forgave him? Muslim or Christian, we are all humans with human feelings. People forgive people. Maybe she realized that her condition would never improve, but doing the same thing to him wouldnt make things any better for anyone else.

I agree with 2003TexasGrad. Maybe she has the maturity and wisdom to see that retribution couldn’t possibly accomplish anything of value, but forgiveness could. This is a supremely admirable act.
