Blankets and Sheets

Where is the best place to get cheap but not too cheaply made blankets. I have a dog that sleeps on the bed so nice ones don't do the trick. I am getting some for when "company" as in a woman, sleeps over but for day to day use is my quandry.

Wal-Mart, Target and Sears all come to mind quickly w/ Bed Bath...and those places (Linens n things) a distant second due to price.

I was wondering about maybe TJMaxx and Ross. Have you ever gotten stuff there?

I am gonna buy blankets that wash and dry easily as I will be washing them often. Thanks for hopefully saving me some driving time.

Ooh, that sounds like an idea to check out, forgot about that place. Thanks. I like nice sheets and blankets. I just cannot have too good a blanket for everyday use as the bed is a wrestling ring and dog bed during the day. So it has to be very durable and washable often. Throws sound like the ticket or a good idea at the least. Gracias.

Shop around online for best prices. Fleece and/or t-shirt sheets are nice when it's cold. For hot & humid weather you can't beat high-count all cotton sheets.

Damn I'm domesticated.

Yup, I have a pair of the T-Shirt Sheets and you are correct.

Goal:

Have a couple pair of "company" sheets and blankets that I will never use myself.

Have the sheets for when I have company in my bed that is not my dog. Blanket too w/out it being a comforter and duvee (sp?)

Have some sets of sheets for everyday use to wrestle w/ dog on and can be washed once a week. Same w/ Blankets. I don't use a blanket for most of the year as my house is very well insulated and has ceiling fans in each room to control temp. Plus the dog is an incubator.

The first one is one set of company sheets and a couple everyday ones. If I find a person to share the bed w/, well, that moves up the pecking order.

I guess on line would be a good spot to look, amazingly I did not think about it. I am not too worried about thread count though for the everyday ones.

My girlfriend took me to Ross recently and I got some really nice Ralph Lauren sheets for cheap. We did wade through a lot of crap before we found the good stuff, but it was worth it. The sheets were less than $20 for the set of 100% cotton and high thread count. The only problem with Ross is she says it can be real hit or miss on the nicer stuff.

I like how Loop tries to blame the messes on his sheets on "his dog."

How do you know "Dog" is not a code name or pet name for something? I could be legit on this, y'know.

Thank you for the advice all.
