Blackberry Storm for Verizon

Any good write-ups on features and such out there? I'm contemplating getting it myself but might wait until my contract expires next Summer and get the iPhone.

Went and messed around with a demo Storm at a Verizon store last night...quite impressed. However the OS seemed shaky at times in being slow and laggy. But all in all seems to match the iPhone feature for feature.

No wi-fi is a deal breaker. I was considering getting one, but now I'll probalby wait until the 8900 comes out. I don't need/want 3G, and the new 8900 seems to be exactly what I'm looking for.

Tried one out...did not like the SurePress. Felt a little cheap b/c of it and it required more of a tap than I liked. Phone looks very nice though.

Houston must be a transvestite on his monthly PMS with such a rude comment..

music purchases-where do y'all like to purchase your music? i am sick of apple's DRM, i can't move my music around to a regular MP3. Best selection of music, easiest site to surf?

I'm well aware that it can play music. There's a reason iPod's dominate the music player market. They are the best. I have no issues with Apple, iTunes or DRM. I buy my music and and plays without any issues.

BTW, here's an excerpt from a Crunch Gear review of the Storm which also said the music player was nothing fancy but worked fine:

Got it. I am not a PDA/Blackberry guy by any means and do realize that I will not even come close to utilizing all this phone has to offer. I like it. I do think that there is alot I will need to get used to: texting sucks right now; navigating is slow because I'm unfamiliar; and it doesn't seem that intuitive to a self-described newbie. Even with these drawback, which I feel are temporary, I really like the phone. Probably not an Iphone killer (just doesn't seem as intuitive), but a pretty good offering from Verizon, who is notorious for being years behind on their phones.

I just swung by the Verizon store to try out this phone. I spent about 5 minutes with it, and that was long enough for me to decide that the iPhone is a much better device.

And this is coming from a semi Blackberry loyalist - I'm on my 3rd one. I wanted a reason to like it better than the iPhone but it's not happening.

I know that the iPhone has surpassed Blackberries in number of sales now, but Apple still needs to do a better job with convincing large corporations to allow iPhones to access their corp email.
