Black Jerseys again?

I know a lot of people here don't like the black b-ball jerseys vs. Duke (I personally did), but I was looking around on the internet and found these

So I'm wondering if we we're gonna bring back the black jerseys for a game this year or if it is just Nike making some stuff. I know Nike also made these, which I think look better but that did this short style for all the schools they sponsor, but the new black and white shorts are "replicas" and are exactly like our normal shorts except for color, whereas the black and burnt orange are a little different. Those uniforms were amazing...back in the good 'ole days of non-retarded tight fitting undershirts as jerseys.

I used to love our unis, but that tight fad is just killing me. I don't get Nike's love affair with making players look like idiots.

The black jerseys look cool as hell but we seem to play like **** when we wear them, so I hope we never play in them again.

I'm sure it is just a product for the public. I mean...if everything we saw for sale in a store was something the team was going to wear the football team would be wearing pink uniforms!

Is there anyway that UT's shorts will be less skirt-like this year? I can't tell from the pictures.

I didn't like the black uniforms since black is not the school color.

I also like the tight fitting look. It's keeping me alive.

There's a big part of me that will be rooting for another blowout loss if the team wears black jerseys again.

Burnt orange, white, or some combination thereof. It's not that hard.

I'll also say in retrospect that the #2 ranking wasn't exactly an overranking. They beat Memphis, Villanova, and Kansas that year, among others. If not for Aldridge having the worst game of his career and Davis's ridiculous off balance fadeaway from 12' as the shot clock expired, Texas very well might have won that game in regulation and gone to the Final Four. Looking back, Aldridge/Buckman/Tucker/Gibson is even a more formidable combination of players than it seemed at the time --- and they seemed really damn good then.

The team had flaws --- no depth, no outstanding playmaking point guard, no real flexibility in the lineup, and no real ability to play man to man defense for long stretches --- but looking back, I don't have any problem with that #2 ranking, even if that specific game was completely embarrassing.

One of my favorite pastimes is imagining the starting lineup of:

That would be the easiest national championship in the history of sports...Haha, that Florida team would have gotten bent over into oblivion.

That whole day was terrible. I remember watching that sack-of-asses Reggie Bush win the Heisman in my Manhattan hotel room with my bestfriends.

Yeah...That was a pretty crappy day. Vince went to the basketball game if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps his destruction of USC was inspired by the Heisman and Duke putting a hurting on our school.

those are not for the team. They are similar but not the same (diff. material, pockets, longhorn placement, etc...) Nike made those for nearly every team (that pattern) so it is not a sign of anything thankfully. I just wish we would get away from Nike's system of dress (which looks alot like a dress bc of the tight top and loose bottoms). I loved our unis the year before last. No reason to change IMO.

edit: sorry, I just went back and actually read your post. I saw those shorts a week ago or so too, but I haven't heard anything about us going back to black unis, expecially after the 1st debacle in them. And if we did, I would assume there would be at least some burnt orange in them, rather than all black/white.
