Today, UK pretty much ensured they will not make the Dance.....and Aggy pretty much ensured they will.

If only the Goofers could have held serve at home, this day would have been very symbolic (although I think they still have a shot at a bid).

Ol' Billy Clyde better start winning games next year......that fanbase does not tolerate NIT bids.

It's still hilarious to think how the Gomers thought he would NEVER leave them and to prove it there was a new contract drawn up. One silly little detail...he never agreed nor signed it.

And what happens? Probably the best thing that could. He leaves. They get a 2nd tier coach who is able to get something going and now they've got a good string of seasons and a good team at the right time of year.

Hook'em!!!

Are you sure, Bob? I knew this was the case during his first year but how the F does that school (or his agent) let him work without a contract? That can't be right. He must have signed something.

I heard he hasnt signed because he got a DUI in Lexington and the wording of the contract basically means that the AD would be able to dump him without cause for that infraction.
Who knows what the truth really is. He wont leave UK though no way. People who think he would run from that job dont know how his ego works. He couldnt live with the label of being the guy who ran away from a big job like UK.
I think he'll be fired in year 3 as he now has the entire fanbase hating him. But he'll be fired before he leaves.

What I still don't know is, was Billy Gillespie UK's target after Billy the Kid Donovan, or not. SL Express has intimidated that Rick Barnes turned down both UK and Indiana. I monitor Indiana almost as much as I monitor Texas, I am a booster to both schools. And I never heard Barnes' name linked to Indiana. Then again I never heard Kelvin Sampson's name linked to IU prior to his hiring (and I sure wish I never had). If you read Orangebloods' Ketchum, he wrote at the time how things were touch and go on UK and Barnes. Quin sabes? Tom Crean coaches much better offense than does Barnes. And he was able able to recruit a good class out of a cess pool, so I am happy with him for the time being. I am also happy Barnes stayed put, if in fact he had options elsewhere. I can't see turning down UK for Texas. Indiana with the Sampson cloud that was there last spring, yes, but not UK. So I cry bunk to all those who say Barnes turned them down. You can not ever understand what the love and intensity is brought by a basketball school like either IU or UK. A coach like Barnes will never get his true due at Texas and money can only buy so much.

Indy, Barnes was #2 after Donavan. Allegedly, Barnes did accept, but Powers talked him out of it.

Barnes would be on the list again, allegedly. And maybe this time, we can't keep him. He does have a sweet gig here.

The timeouts at the end of the Florida game were ridiculous. I'm glad to see he's still an *** clown.

I didn't watch much of the Georgia game, but I have learned that BCG took Patterson, Stevenson, Meeks, and Harris out early in the second half after Ga. got a couple of offensive rebounds. Georgia went on a 10-0 run over the next 2 1/2 minutes and never lost the lead after that.

Nice move.

1. BCG hasn't signed his contract. And won't. It has a moral turpitude clause. Given that BCG has some self-recognition that he's a sleazebag, he won't be signing it anytime soon

2. His screwing up team chemistry goes a lot deeper than pulling starters. It's crazy ****

3. Kentucky fans are pretty much done with him, but the AD Barnhart, who is already embattled, doesn't want to swallow the bullet as his ship likely goes down with BCGs
