Does the whole timing of this situation and six game suspension seem odd to anyone besides me? Just seems really strange.
 
Actually it is not Bama related according to Sark at presser
It is NCAA related even though it happened while he was at Bama
No one knows what it is

Many saying the 6 game suspension and nature of circumstances/timing indicates likely drug infraction while at Alabama.
Speculation...but with some credence
 
You can go back and look at my comments from when they both transferred to us but I was strongly against both him and Hall coming here. Bama fans held the door open for them to leave after last season. If you ever see the Natl Champ game replayed on ESPN watch Billingsley. The guy was half assing it in a natty, ghost blocking and giving up on routes.

I hope I am wrong on both guys and they become model citizens and All Americans here. I am just telling you that are not equal transfers to a player and quality human like Isaiah Neyor.

Texas WR Agiye Hall no longer with team, expected to enter NCAA transfer portal

Shocking! Both Billingsley and Hall are gone after making zero impact on the field for us in their one year on the team... #charactermatters

You always roll the dice with situations like that. You hope a new environment will get kids back on track, but you just don't know. The fact that Sark had a relationship with both of them before probably made him feel like he could get them turned around.

The good thing was that we were in a position where we weren't really taking spots away from other guys we needed. Now that the roster is starting to fill out better, maybe we don't take as many risks like that moving forward.

It is a gamble that a portal guy can contribute immediately. All the Ohio State guys, K.Rob, Ovie, Neyor, and Trejo (punter) were definitely good gets.
 
Texas, given its resources etc, should come out ahead on average regarding the portal.

My Bama friend turned to me in the 3rd quarter and said to me “If you all win this game, I’m not sure anyone will recognize the impact your punter has had on this game”. He pinned Bama deep several times. Wish we could bring him back for one more year.
