Bill Walton vs Stephen A Smith

I think this is the only instance I find Smith to be the least annoying and confusing person. Any other combination and I am hoping Smith won't yell, but Walton is a complete waste of airtime, he is an idiot.

Walton is frequently bombastic but Smith is the most irritating sports guy of all time (except maybe for Howard Cosell).

Walton played 4 years for John Wooden (he might have learned a thing or two in that period) and had maybe the single greatest NCAA championship game of all time. He also played with Bird for a few years and also was the leader on his Portland NBA champion team.

Walton has a lot of credibility and knowledge so he is bearable. Smith has no amazing background and is amazingly irritating (I just can't listen to him anymore). Why ESPN pays big money to Smith is beyond me (but then a lot of what ESPN does is beyond me).
