Reports are the meeting was informal an unplanned. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise, not everybody's buying that story.

Most speculation I hear is conspiracy to quash the investigation into Hillary's email. The first fleeting speculation in my mind .... maybe personal delivery of bad news. There is a reasonable probability the meeting was just as innocent as the participants claim... though it's kind of hard to imagine such adept politicians being so politically inept.

If there was a nefarious intention, why be so obvious? Personal cell phones don't work in D.C? Now, there certainly could be been an accidental meeting that turned into something more.

Whoo Boy that there are people thinking this was an accidental meeting between the person who would have to indict the wife of the man and the man.

Are there people who actually think neither Lynch or especially Bill would think there would not be any problem with such a meeting?
As the CBS Justice reporter put it
" Regardless of Lynch's downplaying of the conversation, CBS News Justice reporter Paul Reid called it "shocking, absolutely shocking."

"The most high-profile national security investigation under the attorney general is the investigation into whether or not classified information was mishandled in connection with Hillary Clinton's server," Reid told CBSN. "Now, President Clinton and his foundation are also tangentially involved in that investigation, so the appearance of impropriety is just stunning."

Is Bill that stupid as to go to Lynch's plane? Is Lynch that stupid as to not say, sorry you shouldn't be here?

Is it too much to hope that Lynch and Bill Clinton were serving as go-betweens for President Obama and Hillary Clinton, with a message along the lines of "Drop out of the presidential race, and I'll pardon you"? I'd hate to see Hillary go free, but that would be better than her winning the presidency.

Even if all they did was talk about the grand kids ,as claimed, she needs to recuse herself and appoint an independent counsel to handle the Clinton case. If she refuses to prosecute after her little tete-a-tete with Slick Willie, the stink will never go away.

First they said they met on one or the other's private jet. Now they're saying they met on a third private jet that just happened to be there for some reason. Uh oh.

Also, I heard that after getting back to DC, Lynch told a federal judge that it was OK for the State Dept. to delay handing over emails between top Clinton State Dept. aids and the various Clinton Foundations for 27 months -- 22 months into a Clinton Presidency! It was said that these aids exchanged on average 700 emails a month with various Clinton "Global Initiatives" (i.e. the initiative to make the Clintons richer). The emails were due to be released in July, four months before the election.

I don't think it matters as far as the election goes. As one pundit said, Clinton could probably beat Trump from a jail cell. But, for once, I'd like to see justice served.

It was 108 degrees in Phoenix on Monday and 106 over the weekend. What 70 year old with a heart condition plays golf in 108 degree weather? http://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/phoenix/historic

And what are the chances that that specific 70 year old was a POTUS who's wife eventually became SoS and now is a Presidential candidate herself and is under investigation by the Justice Department for violation of national security laws? And what are the chances of that very unique 70 year old who can play a round of golf in 100+ degree heat randomly being on the same tarmac in Phoenix at that exact moment of the Attorney General who's Justice Department is investigating that 70 year old gofer's wife.

I sometimes think that Trump and Clinton are in a race to see who can get elected with the fewest possible votes. It is a much different tactic than previous presidential candidates have used.

I like how the press is spinning it; "incredibly bad judgment", huh?

Bad Judgment? Bad judgment? Bill Clinton is one of the savviest, most calculating politicians ever. He knew exactly what he was doing. As for Lynch, who knows? She's way in over her head and the sharks are dibbling at her toes.

Clean, Bill Clinton was one of the savviest, most calculating politicians ever...was being the key word. So far, he has done much to harm HC in this race. He has made strange comments at odd times, become angry at crowds, basically not been a "good politician", in my opinion.
I think his age has caught up with him. He doesn't seem right, for lack of a better word. When I see him, he looks like he is only half there. I think he may be in early/middle stage dementia or something. He seems like a frail, old man who is out of the loop as far as what is correct. I wish he would continue to speak off the cuff, say more things that are most likely true (but negative to the "legacy") I don't think HC telling people Bill will be in charge of anything is a comforting image, or a plus. In the end though, I think the Clintons are the most Teflon politicians I have seen in my lifetime. No matter what they do, and the list is long, nothing seems to matter to the press or the people.
I think he probably didn't understand how this situation would appear. I think he is living in the 90s when he was untouchable and loved by many.
Loretta Lynch--who knows. She needs to recuse herself immediately.

Why be obvious? Because they know there are no consequences. They know the braindead side of America will still vote for Hillary.

So let me get this straight.........Bill happens to be in Arizona. He was planning on departing but got word that AG Lynch will be landing within the hour. So Bill decides to not depart until she lands so he can talk to her in private about his grand kids for 30 minutes. RIGHT! Okay, I could win the lottery three times before Bill who he and his wife are getting investigated by the FBI, could be at the same place at the same time all the way across the country with the one person Bill would love to talk to in private. Just a big coincidence? There are already so many deal breakers that shouldn't allow Hillary to run and then this happens. They have never had to face the consequences ever and a certain population of America just keeps supporting them. Sorry but she is the last person that should be President. "Corruption" in the dictionary should be a pic of Bill and Hillary by it.

I don't think this was a spare of the moment thing for Bill. No way Hillary wasn't a part of this decision. These two have been so corrupt and have never had any consequences. So they don't even try to hide it. They kept it quiet but to them it wasn't a big deal if it comes out. Because they know Libs and the mainstream media will protect and defend them no matter what cost comes to our great country. I just can imagine how bad off we will be with Hillary giving Obama a 3rd term.

Why be obvious? Well what if the intent was to move this to an independent investigation?
If it gets moved would that not delay it? Could an independent investigation be sent up and conducted before Nov?
doubt it

That's a good point.

The story of how this "accidental meeting" happened keeps changing as actual facts are becoming known.
Christopher Sign, the reporter who broke the story of the meeting could find no proof that Clinton actually played golf while there on that trip. He later reported that Clinton was in town for a fundraiser at a private home in Phoenix.

Yet Loretta Lynch claims that one of the things that they talked about was "the golf he played in Phoenix". We also previously reported on her noting their discussion was "primarily social", asking of course, then what else that wasn't social was covered?

Then there was the first story that Bill found out Lynch was coming there so he supposedly delayed his flight to meet with Lynch as her plane landed.'
EXCEPT lynch in her statements to USAtoday said " I did see President Clinton as I was leaving.

I have felt this was very staged but now am not sure why. And since when can the FBI prohibit reporters from exercising their first amendment rights in a public area? They could have restricted the press to a certain area but can they prohibit the press from taking pictures in a public area?
I guess this all could have been done to take the heat off Hillary's meeting with FBI

A life of cocaine and orgies will do that to you . . . at least I've been told.

In an seriousness I agree. He has gone downhill and not just since the '90s but since 2012. His performance at the Democratic National Convention was legendary, but I don't think he could pull that off today.

Given the behavior of our politicians and the hole they keep digging for everyone, this sounds very appealing. Ending up with dementia afterward is just a bonus.
