bikini waxes for little girls

are we so wealthy that we have to basically invent ways to waste money instead of giving to the poor?

fret for the parents responsibility and frivolous use for money, but i'm wondering what salon would offer this service to these girls.

So I'm thinking back to my pre-pubescent days and I don't recall having any hair in areas where a bikini wax would be administered. Are pre-pubescent girls different than boys in this regard?

Why on earth would this be necessary?

Name, the procedure is not needed, but I suspect it makes Mom feel good she is hip and already getting daughter into womanhood. Just something to spend $$$ on when you have plenty...

Girls do start developing earlier than boys; also, ages of first menses is coming sooner, so this would go hand in hand. Also, she may just be one of those girls that has this early.

I think I may have seen a special on this on The Today Show a few months ago (though I think it may have been leg waxes, I can't really remember). It is really weird and bothersome that parents are thinking about this. Plus, why would you want to put your little girl through that kind of pain?

Does her mother hate her?

I don't care if the little girl is already developing, why would a mother allow her daughter to go through the pain of a bikini wax.

I, too, question salons that would perform this wax job on a little girl.

I agree with summerof79.

Last time I was getting my eyebrows down, the aesthetician was telling a story about two moms who brought their 15-year-olds in to get Brazilians for prom. I was floored. I mean, a bikini wax for swimsuit season for an older teen, fine, but brazilians for prom clearly implies someone will be seeing all of it.

hopefully within the next 25 years someone comes up with a gas or additive that can be put in food causing all stupid people to drop dead immediatly. I hope I am not one of the ones who drops dead.

My sister-in-law is having laser hair removal on my 12 year old niece's legs.

She is one of those moms too sometimes. Not sure why a Venus or a bottle of Nair is not enough for a 12 year old - but it is her money.
