Going back to the old format of 2-bracket double elimination…that means 4-6 games in 5 days for the championship game teams…somebody may suffer some serious pitching burnout!

They should endo things, let #1 and #2 sit out and let the bottom two teams in.

While all the games will be video-streamed on the Big 12 website, it looks like the only real tv coverage is the championship game on Sunday (1:00 on FSN). I get that there's not huge interest in the conference tourney, but surely the ratings would be higher for that than the Oklahoma high school baseball playoffs that FSN is showing on Saturday afternoon?

A good way to waste arms a week before the real tournament begins. Its nice to make a run in this tourny and get some momentum but not real crazy about this double elim format being started again. At least with old format you knew three games perhaps a fourth but that was it and you could set up your pitchers for the NCAA regionals the next week.

Frisco is an oven; and the slope of the seats back from the field is terrible - you're nowhere as near the action as you would be at the ballpark.

That said, a new venue is needed - one that will foster greater attendance. I dare say that Dallas/Fort Worth would pull in more fans of more schools than OKC ever will.

I'm surprised JerryWorld hasn't taken a stab at it - they could play and no fan would be within a mile of the field - and for only $250 per seat per game. H-m-m-m-m-m!!!
