TEXAS holds the record for the most Big 12 Championships in one year with a total of 8 in 2005-2006. I believe that was counting regular season and tournament titles.
I didn't think anyone could ever match that or even top that, BUT A&M has a really good chance on doing that this year.
Right now both TEXAS and A&M have won 6 titles a piece.
We have 4 events left, Men's/Women's track and field and Baseball regular and Tournament championship.
A&M will win Baseball and Women's Track.
Somebody has to keep them from winning Men's track (which is ranked #1 in the nation) and Baseball tourney.
I don't mind a tie with A&M winning 8 titles this year, but if they win more than that........get ready to hear it for a long time as I don't think TEXAS will be able to match that unless women's athletics get better against A&M.
