It would be too good to be true. Adding this kid would make 2014 a truly fabulous class. I almost wish you hadn't told us. Now I have to worry about whether we get her or not, then suffer the disappointment if we don't. Oh well. One word of caution: when I Googled stories about her, it seems she's been on a summer tour of several different schools, like Louisville, Kentucky and Tennessee twice---so we might be one more stop on an extended vacation. Word of caution #2: she's a true all-conference starting center type, who might not want to play in the shadow of a 6'7" all star like Imani for two years.

Strangely she is no longer considering UNC, but has already taken official visits to South Carolina and Ohio State, in addition to Texas.

White has gone on the record saying that she doesn't want to play center in college, and she won't consider schools that are only looking for her to play the 5. This has to help us since we have Imani plus Lang and Vanderzee.

White needs to look at how we use Nneka to get an idea of how Coach Aston is willing to use her posts. Even Imani does not sit in the paint all game long. Our posts are expected to be able to play in the paint, true, but they are also expected to be able to play facing the basket and encouraged to develop their ballhandling, passing and outside shooting skills.

Well, with Diani being a 6'1 forward who doesn't really have a face-up game (based on what I read), she doesn't really replace what we lose in GiGi after this season, and even Nneka the following season.

I honestly think we're a longshot for Jatarie based on her comments about not wanting to venture too far away from North Caroloina, and the fact that we are a late-comer in recruiting her compared to USC, UConn, and Tennessee. But, the staff is giving it their best shot.

We'll see what happens, and if there is one more addition to the 2014 class.
