Somewhere SL Express is shaking his head.

Truth be told, I didn't think we would be this good this year but that win against Bevo obviously gave us a world of confidence entering conference play.

The lesson, as always, is never doubt Bo Ryan.

Congratulations on the conference championship.

Now I really hope Texas gets a chance to give the Badgers payback.

Congratulations, AustinBadger. I have to say, you were right and many of us were wrong about your team's chances.

I kept meaning to put a post up about this. No doubt I was WAAAAAAAAAAY wrong on this one.

Frankly, I was way wrong about 2/3s through the conference season. Heck, I could make an argument I was way wrong after Michigan State laid that turd against Iowa in their 1st or 2nd conference game. I was so wrong, I didn't even nail the 2nd best team in the conference, Purdue, who has been at least as surprising as Wisconsin, and probably more so.

There's a chance things might have worked out differently if the Sampson deal at Indiana hadn't cropped up, but I don't really think so. I just think Wisconsin was that much better than I thought they'd be, and Bo Ryan --- who I already thought highly of --- is an even better coach than I gave him credit for.

Congrats on your team, Austinbadger. My only regret is that I didn't start my thread before this one, because it was really my intention you give you kudos without this prompting. That's my fault for procrastinating. It will be interesting to see how well Wisconsin does from here on out, but I can tell you already that this will enter my lexicon of internally famous missed calls. It won't surpass my dismissal of Pete Carrol as a horrible hire, but it will still be in the pantheon.

All in good fun, SL.

I don' think it was a terrible missed call as I recall you thought we would finish 3rd or 4th..........which is where I thought as well. It's not like you predicted us to miss the Dance.

The truth is we are better than we were when we had Alando Tucker b/c last year we often just sat around and let him try to win the game for us. Same can be said about UT with Durant.

I think both UT and UW are playing much better TEAM ball this year than last and, often, teams in CBB win more with this approach.

IF DJ comes back, the game in Madison next December will be a good one.

Glad the Texas win allowed Wisconsin to gain enough confidence to win the 6th-ranked conference in the nation.

But in all seriousness, quite a job by the Badgahs. Bo Ryan just knows how to win. Same with Rick Barnes, which is why I love him as UT coach and why I'm sure Wisconsin fans love theirs.
