big lineup

What a difference it made, or was OU's D just that bad? some of both, I guess, but I think having Johnson, Pittman, and James in there at the same time could work, no matter who is playing guard.

Of course, it was some kind of miracle that Pittman had 0 fouls until the last 8 minutes of the game. Any chance of that happening again?

It's worth a try against Baylor, I think the key is Pittman's endurance. How many minutes did he get last night? If he could somehow play 30 minutes in this big lineup before fouling out(my standards have changed, I expect him to foul, I'm just trying to get 30 out of him), we might have something special here.

wouldn't that be wild, to get a #7 or #9 seed, catch fire with a new lineup, and win a couple of games in the tourny.

Knock on wood, the free throw shooting has already turned around(two games in a row).

I too liked the big lineup. Pittman played 25 minutes and had 2 fouls. This big lineup is a beast under the boards.

OU wasn't very big inside and that helped. Pittman always looks better in match-ups like that. He is able to stay on the court more and get into a groove. These 3 guys are also making their FTs. 24-30 the last 2 games combined and that is going to help their confidence and get the them move involved down low.

The same lineup will be looking up, not down, at Baylor's frontcourt, in some cases, 3 or 4 inches up. Games like that tend to give Johnson and Pittman difficulty inside.

Haha, that's funny bierce. I was about to post how ridiculous that is, then I did the logistics. The only height advantages we would have would be Hamilton at SG (6'7" over 6'4" LaceDarius Dunn) and JCB (6'0" over 5'10" Tweety Carter). Good point.

Yeah, Baylor is huge. They start 7'0", 6'10", 6'10". Their best lineup is probably with Acy instead of Lomers, but that still runs 6'10", 6'10", 6'7". Jones is still rail thin, but he's come a long way from the guy last year who had more three point attempts than blocks and rebounds combined.
