I saw the movie for the 1st time this week. My father-in-law died suddenly and he had some tall stories too....
Question: throughout the movie he keeps saying that he saw his death in the witch's eye and that it would be something. Which gave him courage; he knew he when he was going to die. At the end, he wanted his son to tell him how it went. So basically his dad was full of **** about "seeing his death" and used that to help build his courage -- ie, he knew he had greatness in him. And then asked his son to tell him how it ended b/c he wanted his son to help him along in his fantasy?
Great movie.
