As bad as this offense is I have said all year this is a pitching staff that can win an NC. Holding ASU to 1,2 and 3 runs over a supere regional is testament to that.

The pitching staff is deep enough to really make a run its the bats that just need to come alive in Omaha to give the Horns a shot at number seven.

I think a big key was Carrillo and McKirahan coming through for us when we really needed them. Ofcourse hats off to all the starters, and Hoby and Thornhill, and especially Knebel...but Carrillo and McKirahan were a big fear of mine against such a solid lineup. And they came in big spots and performed nicely.

And Horns, how about we try a new strategy in Omaha? Let's stay away from the elimination game for a while if not altogether. I know we are 5-0 in the playoffs in these games, but every one of those put me through some severe stress.
