Tough week for NFL QBs--Big Ben out for season, needing elbow surgery; and Brees out for at least six weeks with thumb ligament injury, also requiring surgery. Brees' injury sounds like similar thing to what VY had in Tennessee.

It is making contests a whole lot more difficult, that's for sure. I don't know that Seattle goes down if Big Ben plays but I liked the -4 I had a whole lot better with a quality quarterback for Pittsburgh.

I have to say that I liked, generally, the game management from Minshew (Jacksonville) although the coaching MISmanagement is a concern.

New England is off the table because of the huge spreads that will be in their games, with the same likely holding for anyone on the Miami schedule for the week. Dallas already opened at -21 in many books, and as good as Dallas is running, I just don't like those huge numbers in an NFL game.

I cannot afford any more 3-2 weeks in my Circa contest...I need back-to-back 5-0 weeks to get back into the mix.

At Ben's age 50/50 that he starts another regular season game.
